July was a big one. We open-sourced Sitepins under GNU Affero General Public License Version 3.0 (AGPLv3), shipped an Advanced SEO Analyzer for Team plans and up, and rolled out another round of quality of life and security improvements.
Here’s everything we shipped in July 2026:
TL;DR
- Sitepins is Now Open Source — Sitepins is now open source under AGPL-3.0
- Advanced SEO Analyzer — Get actionable SEO recommendations directly inside the editor, available on Team plans and up.
- Bug Fixes and Security Improvements — Security and quality of life improvements across the platform.
Sitepins is now Open Source!

What: Sitepins’ CMS is now open source under AGPL-3.0 license. You can read the full announcement, including what this means for self-hosting and contributing, here: Sitepins CMS is now open source.
Why: Going open source means more transparency into how Sitepins works. You can read the actual source code if you wish. That makes it easier to trust, easier to audit for security or compliance needs, and easier for the community to spot bugs, suggest fixes, or contribute improvements directly. It also gives anyone the freedom to self-host, with full control over their own infrastructure.
Note: Self-hosting and modifying Sitepins is free as long as you publish your changes when running it as a service for others, but if you want to white-label it and resell it under your own brand without that requirement, you’ll need to get in touch with us about the Agency white-label plan.
Advanced SEO Analyzer

What: Set a target keyword for any piece of content and Sitepins grades it against SEO best practices, built for how search and AI discovery work in 2026. You’ll see a 0–100 SEO score right on the SEO button, along with tips, recommendations, warnings, and a full content analysis breakdown. Results are grouped into Issues, Improvements, and Good Results, each with a specific recommendation.

Why: Most teams either skip SEO entirely or bounce out to a separate tool to check it. This puts the same checks directly in the editor, so you can fix issues before you publish instead of after.
Note: Advanced SEO is available on Team plans and higher.
Bug Fixes and Security Improvements
This month’s fixes were focused on hardening security across the platform, tightening up a number of areas under the hood to keep your content and account safer.
Quality of Life Improvements
- Added the option to delete your profile picture from user, organization, and project settings.
Closing
Sitepins is now almost 2,000 users strong as of writing this. Since open-sourcing, we’ve already acquired 120+ (and counting) stars on GitHub. This goes to show the power of open source and the support of the community. We’re steadfast in our commitment to keeping Sitepins secure and reliable as more teams and self-hosters come on board. If you run into a bug or have thoughts on what feature you’d like next, drop them in our roadmap, Discord, or reach out to us via support.
